USY hangout 10

Do you love food, new friends, and having a great time? If you answered “yes”, then you should be a member of WOhev USY! Ohev Shalom, Wallingford’s United Synagogue Youth chapter is a great place to learn more about what it means to be a modern-day Jewish teen. WOhev is a chapter of Hagesher Region USY and is an awesome group of teens (grades 8-12) that meets for fun events. WOhev has become extremely active in the past few years and most recently won “Chapter of the Year” in the Hagesher region and USY International recognition for Excellence in Religion/Education! Some past events include; a murder mystery Chanukah event, Israel Quizzo, Bowling, an LGBTQ-informational Shabbat dinner, and many social action projects. There is something for everyone. In addition to our chapter events, there are a multitude of regional and multi-chapter events that our members can attend. Tri-Regional summer Encampment, Fall Convention, Winter Kinnus, and Spring Convention are a few.  At these conventions, we are given the opportunity to meet hundreds of new people and also to reunite with our friends from other chapters! We take great pride in all of WOhev’s achievements and cherish all of our memories we make within our chapter through all of our programming and events. It’s never too late to get in on the fun so sign up and join WOhev!
