Come to hear from Dr. Eugene, a physician who provides health care for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. Each session is an open forum to learn, listen, and learn how we can support transgender and gender non-conforming youth. You will learn more about gender affirming care for youth and what is at stake with that care. There will be opportunity for open dialogue and mutual listening to strengthen collaboration and community. There will also be discussion of actions we can take, collectively and individually, to support and protect our transgender friends, family, and community members.
Each session is limited to 25 participants to allow for meaningful conversation. Registration is required. When registering, please indicate which session you will be attending.
Dr. Eugene is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist. His clinical expertise is in adolescent and young adult primary care, gender affirming medical care, sexual and reproductive health, medical care for youth living with HIV, and eating disorders. He chose to specialize in adolescent medicine because adolescence and emerging adulthood are remarkable life stages in which physicians can guide and support youth in developing emotional well-being and healthy decision-making that promote wellness in adulthood.
