Missy Lowdermilk, Executive Director

Missy has been working as the Executive Director at Ohev Shalom since July, 2013.  Her job is “never boring,” she says, and she appreciates the chance to work with others who are dedicated to the Jewish community.  “I have been a member of the National Association of Temple Administrators (NATA) as well as our local Delaware Valley Association of Synagogue Administrators (DVASA) for close to 25 years,” says Missy.  “I treasure the connections I have made with other synagogue directors both locally and on a national level.”

Above all, Missy values the relationships she’s cultivated throughout her time at the synagogue: “Hillel says in Pirkei Avot 2:4:  ‘Do not separate yourself from the community.’  For me,” Missy says, “being part of the Ohev community, feeling that I belong here, that’s everything.”
