Religious School

At Ohev Shalom’s Mispallelim religious school, we seek to help our students build not only Jewish knowledge, but also a sense of Jewish community and identity.  As a staff, we continue to seek new ways in which to help our students have meaningful Jewish experiences and to ask meaningful Jewish questions at every developmental stage. We believe that, beyond passively “receiving” a Jewish education, students and families have the exciting task of actively constructing their own Jewish identities, as they encounter inspiring ideas, surprising experiences and caring role models. We aspire to give our families the tools to do that work in a way that engages the whole person – heart, intellect, body/senses, and spirit.
